Steve Cowell has spent more than four decades advancing energy efficiency and electrification initiatives and is widely recognized as a change agent in the development of modern energy-efficiency programs. He previously led Conservation Services Group and E4TheFuture, organizations that played significant roles in expanding energy-efficiency program delivery across multiple state

Mary Elizabeth Wheeler – Administrative Director

Mary Elizabeth Wheeler supports the Institute’s organizational operations and development. She brings experience in nonprofit administration, communications, and collaborative program development.
The Institute’s Board of Directors includes leaders with expertise in consumer protection, building electrification, decarbonization policy, and community-based energy initiatives.
